What you will do:
The Director of Supplier Quality reports to the Senior Director of Quality and is responsible for developing the strategy for, and implementing, supplier and co-manufacturer quality programs for TCCA’s branded and non-branded products. Ensures Food Safety and Quality expectations are understood and adhered to by our partners. Oversees FSQ qualification and monitoring, by planning, conducting and documenting supplier and co-manufacturer audits, and resulting corrective actions. Develops new and improved business processes for co-manufacturer, supplier and ingredient qualification programs. Ensures recurring document collection and review activities are conducted regularly.

Here’s a day in the life:
Responsible for ensuring that suppliers and co-manufacturers for TCCA products meet TCCA standards for quality, safety, consistency and regulatory compliance
Responsible for ensuring that TCCA’s Food Safety and Quality expectations are routinely updated as required, are consistent with FSMA and GFSI standards, and are distributed to suppliers, co-manufacturers, and 3rd Party warehouses with receipt confirmation
Gather documents from suppliers, co-manufacturers, and 3rd Party warehouses for assuring regulatory and quality compliance
Conduct a risk assessment of suppliers, co-manufacturers and 3rd Party warehouses
Plan, coordinate, and conduct audits; develop risk-based schedule and prepare reports on audits and corrective actions related to Tillamook supplier quality expectations
Work with TCCA Sensory to assure sample receipts, frequency, and methods of product evaluations from 3rd party manufacturing plants
Assists Procurement department with Quality metrics for supplier scorecard
Document and resolve non-conforming co-manufactured products, and/or ingredients, and materials for TCCA manufacturing and co-manufacturing plants
Communicate when new or changed ingredients, materials or processes require a trial based on TCCA’s quality system, and coordinate appropriate risk assessments with partners
Determine frequency, and facilitate management review, with suppliers, co-manufacturers and 3rd Party warehouses based on program goals
Implement business processes through QMS to support TCCA’s quality objectives
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
10 years of progressive quality assurance and/or auditing management experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Collaborate and interact with staff at all levels of the company
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to work independently
