Wayfinding faculty teach the core courses students take during the 2 year program. Each class meets twice a week for 3 hours each session. We are seeking a teacher/facilitator for our Science, Technology, and Society course during the 12 week Winter term (January through March). This course investigates the social dimensions of science, technology and medicine through an emphasis on three interrelated areas: environment and sustainability; health and medicine; and information, identities and networks. The goal of this course is to develop a foundational understanding and develop a commitment to a critical approach to our world’s most pressing technoscientific challenges.
Wayfinding is quite different from other colleges - we are highly collaborative, have no tests, grades, or textbooks, our pedagogy is based on hands-on, experiential, project-based learning. Faculty members are expected to give students feedback throughout the term and complete a narrative evaluation at the end.
