The Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is seeking a highly-qualified candidate to fill one full-time permanent Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator (Accountant 3) position located in Salem, Oregon.
The Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator is the highest level accountant at DLCD, and is tasked with reviewing, designing, and (if needed) modifying the agency accounting structures and processes. This position is also responsible for preparing the department’s annual CAFR, and SEFA reports along with other financial reports as required by DAS or the Agency’s federal funding partners.
Duties include the completion grant reconciliations, department-wide accounting oversight, completion of the annual Indirect Cost Rate (ICR), and collaboration with the department’s Accountant 1 in performing daily transaction processing. The Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator requires in-depth knowledge of state governmental accounting systems and rules.
The Accountant 3 also conducts informal audit reviews of department grant programs and process to evaluate compliance with internal controls and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
This position is full time and is represented by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union.
