We are ThinkShout, a Portland-grown, certified B Corp dedicated to delivering exceptional web development, design, user experience, and strategy to the nonprofits and forward-thinking organizations that inspire us. We’re looking for a Client Services Developer to work with wonderful clients, write awesome code, and help create a completely new team.
Are you excited about writing code for the web, and also want to leverage and/or learn other skills like project management, client communications, and devops? Are you transitioning careers after code school, but still excited to bring other skills to your work? We’d love to hear from you!
ThinkShout has a history of excellent client retention based on three factors:
We take pride in our work: the code running the site should be as clean and beautiful as the product that users see.
We care about our clients: we work with mission-driven organizations, and their success is our mission.
We are experts: we have a veteran team with diverse skills and experience, and our greatest expertise is learning new things.
Client Services Developers will take this history of client satisfaction to the next level by providing dedicated attention to our established clients. You will deal with diverse challenges handling questions and needs from mission-driven organizations doing important work across the country. Successful candidates will love working directly with clients and showing them that their digital properties are in the best hands.
What we’re looking for:
Desire to work directly with nonprofit clients and help them solve their website problems - past experience in customer service or tech support roles is a bonus!
Ability to communicate and collaborate openly with technical and non-technical teammates.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and keep track of deadlines.
Love of tinkering with, and building on, code created by other developers.
Experience working with open source frameworks and content management systems, especially Drupal and/or WordPress, is ideal but not required.
Eagerness to learn, grow, and accept feedback.
