As a Help Desk Technician, you will coordinate a variety of help desk client services related to the identification and remediation of operational issues and problems experienced by County users of networked computer hardware and software applications. In this position, you will provide direct advice and assistance to County users by using the appropriate office communications tools.
This position requires an individual who has demonstrated success in providing technical support and managing change in a complex production network support environment within a large organization. In addition, the individual in this role should have strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis in providing outstanding customer service.
Education and Experience:
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
One (1) year or 45 credits of college-level coursework in computer science or a closely related field; AND
One (1) year of experience providing computer hardware and software support (applicable certifications may substitute for the education and experience requirements).
If you have completed education in a foreign college or university and are using this education to meet the minimum qualifications, you must provide documentation that the foreign education is comparable to that received within the United States' accredited college or university system or your application will not be accepted.
Salary: $26.85 - $32.63 Hourly
