Through the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, Catholic Charities of Oregon achieves lasting solutions to poverty and injustice by partnering with clients to meet their economic and educational goals, and to support their physical and social well-being. Catholic Charities is the official domestic relief agency of the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon.


The Agency Services Coordinator is a key support position for Catholic Charities' Programs. This position provides resources and information and referral information to clients and program staff. This position is the hub of general knowledge for the agency.


Work with clients, identified by internal case managers, to make appropriate additional referrals to internal and external programs.
Manage and report on internal and external referral programs.
Collaborate and provide occasional back-up coverage for other navigation staff to screen and respond to callers seeking general program information.
Maintain and expand a resource database in SalesForce.
Community networking and representing Catholic Charities at outreach events to present information on programs.
Meet with case managers quarterly to share and receive information about program updates and changes.
Have extensive knowledge of Catholic Charities' programs, appropriate referrals, and "specialists" within each program.
Become the "hub" for general resources and questions. Have a breadth of knowledge.
Attend identified internal and external meetings.
Identify common barriers for clients, current client trends around barriers, and gaps in service internally and externally.
Assist with limited housing case management.
May provide short-term case management as required.
Participate in agency care teams and case consultations as requested.
Assist with agency service program projects.
Assist program teams with review and development of program guidebooks, forms, process and procedures.
Serve as an ombudsperson to receive and assist with client complaints.
Participate in trainings and coordination meetings as requested by Supervisor.
Adherence to Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Associate or Bachelor's degree in human services or equivalent lived and or worked experience required.
At least 2 years' experience working in social service case management, social service resource lines and / or information and referral.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; bilingual / bicultural (Spanish/English) preferred.
Experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, mental health and / or addictions disorders.
Knowledge and experience with the following services: Assertive Engagement, Trauma Informed Care, Strengths-Based and / or Person-Centered case management, Motivational Interviewing and landlord-tenant law.
Experience and / or knowledge of homeless and housing systems including shelter systems, domestic violence system and housing placement programming.
Extensive knowledge of community resources and established contacts in the community.
Ability to effectively work with standard office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.
Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.

Demonstrated competency working with people from diverse cultures. Ability to assess and treat clients in a culturally-competent manner.
Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. High attention to detail required.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different dynamics in a fast paced work environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings and weekends.

Travel between sites in Portland required. Must have driver's license, access to vehicle and ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100).
Satisfactory results from criminal, civil and/or motor vehicle background check required.
