Washington County's Information Systems Technology (ITS) Division is seeking an ITS Cyber Security Analyst. In this position, you will lead by evaluating and evolving the Security and Information Event Management (SIEM) solution for potential security risks, recommending mitigation and/or countermeasures, and resolving security integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the County's infrastructure. As the ITS Cyber Security Analyst, your authority and scope of responsibility will often cross all organizational lines. Finally, in this role, you will develop guidelines that will be used by members of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CIRT) in the course of incident response which will impact County security goals.
Education and Experience:
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND four (4) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support; OR
An Associate's Degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; AND six (6) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support; OR
Eight (8) years of experience providing professional level information technology analysis and support.
Two or more certifications may substitute for up to two (2) years of the education requirement. Any of the following certifications may substitute for one (1) year of required education:
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator)
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
(ISC) 2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),
ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM),
SANS Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC),
(ISC) 2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP),
CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
Additional Licenses, Certificates, Physical Abilities and Specialty Requirements:
After-hours work as needed.
Included in on-call rotation to support 24 x 7 operations.
Must pass full fingerprint background verification.
Must pass FBI CJIS Level 4 certification, IRS 1075 Safeguard, HIPAA privacy, County security awareness courses.
Salary: $8,013.17 - $9,737.36 Monthly
$96,158.04 - $116,848.32 Annually
