Senior Accountant, Asset Accounting

As Senior Accountant in our Asset Accounting group, you will play a critical role in supporting PGE’s strategic investment plans. You’ll be responsible for accounting transactions and ensuring the integrity of internal controls and accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies and regulatory accounting. In this role you’ll perform accounting activities that include preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements that support our SEC and FERC filings. In addition, you will be expected to conduct accounting research and document accounting conclusions as necessary. You’ll also be a subject matter expert that provides analysis and consulting support to the business to help understand forecasting and budgeting variances that will assist in decision-making.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another business-related field and five or more years of experience in accounting, finance or other business-related field or equivalent experience. CPA certification is preferred.
