Creative Industry Networking: Developing a Diverse Creative Community

Tualatin Valley Creates

PO Box 2017, Beaverton, OR 97075

Start Date: 09/23/2020 6:30 p.m.

End Date: 09/23/2020 7:30 p.m.

TVC’s virtual networking events are designed to be casual platforms for individuals to connect. This month, we’re asking ourselves and the creative community at large: how do arts connect – or divide? All artists and cultural advocates in the region are invited to come together to explore how to best develop and sustain diversity within our creative ecosystem. Co-hosted with Partners in Diversity.

We’ll discuss questions such as:

  • What new, more resilient partnerships can we form right now – such as between businesses and artists – that are inclusive of our entire community?
  • How can we celebrate and uphold safe spaces while still connecting across differences such as age, race, income, rural/urban areas, etc.?
  • What does arts accessibility mean when in-person arts and culture happenings are limited?
  • How do we welcome and retain diverse leadership in arts, culture, heritage and humanities?
