Dr. Karin Edwards, president of Clark College, brings a 36-year career in community colleges, with roles ranging from admissions counselor to campus president. Since July 2014, she has served as president of Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus. Before her role, she spent 14 years as the Dean of Student Development and Services at Three Rivers Community College in Connecticut. She has also held leadership positions at Orange County Community College, Skidmore College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Her community service extends to boards like Portland Community Reinvestment Initiatives and the advisory board of the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs. She holds a degree in psychology and a master’s in higher education administration from the State University of New York at Albany. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island.
